Al-Muddath-thir 2 of 2
Nay; I swear by the moon, 32 By the receding night 33 and the dawn when it is white, 34 That (Hell) is surely one of the greater (signs), 35 A warning to mortals, 36 to whoever of you desires to go forward or lag behind. 37 Every soul shall be pledged for what it has earned, 38 Except the people of the right hand, 39 In Gardens (Paradise) they will ask one another, 40 and will ask of the criminals, 41 "What led you into Hell Fire?" 42 They said, “We never used to offer the prayer.” 43 Nor did we used to feed the poor. 44 we indulged in vain arguments along with those who indulged in them; 45 And rejected the Day of Judgement as a lie 46 until the Inevitable End [death] overtook us." 47 Then there will not profit them intercesion of the interceders. 48 Then what is [the matter] with them that they are, from the reminder, turning away 49 like startled wild donkeys 50 Fleeing away from a lion. 51 Forsooth, each one of them wants to be given scrolls (of revelation) spread out! 52 Nay, verily. They fear not the Hereafter. 53 Nay; this is an Exhortation. 54 So, whoever wills, will remember it. 55 But they will not benefit from it unless Allah Himself so wills. He is worthy to be feared; and He is worthy to forgive (those that fear Him). 56
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

(1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
