Nay; I swear by the moon, 32 By the night when it departs. 33 and the dawn when it is white, 34 Indeed, the Fire is of the greatest [afflictions] 35 A warning to mankind, 36 Unto him of you who will advance or hang back. 37 Every soul is held in pledge for what it earns, 38 save the Companions of the Right; 39 In Gardens they will question 40 and will ask of the criminals, 41 “What drove you to Hell?” 42 They shall say, 'We were not of those who prayed, and 43 Nor did we feed the wretched. 44 "But we used to talk vanities with vain talkers; 45 And we have been belying the Day of Requital. 46 until the Inevitable End [death] overtook us." 47 The intercession of the intercessors will be of no benefit to them. 48 What is the matter with them that they turn away from this Reminder, 49 As if they were asses taking fright 50 That had fled from a lion? 51 Nay, everyone of them desires that he should be given pages spread out (coming from Allah with a writing that Islam is the right religion, and Muhammad SAW has come with the truth from Allah the Lord of the heavens and earth, etc.). 52 No indeed; but they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 Yes indeed, this is an advice. 54 So whosoever will may heed. 55 And they will not remember, except that God wills; He is worthy to be feared, -- worthy to forgive. 56
