Al-Muddath-thir 2 of 2
By the moon, 32 Consider the night when it departs, 33 and by the day when it dawns (with its radiance), 34 Surely, it is one of the gravest things, 35 As a warning to humanity - 36 To him among you who wishes to go forward or remain behind. 37 Each one is a hostage to one's deeds, 38 save the People of the Right Hand 39 In gardens they will ask one another 40 of those who were lost in sin: 41 "What has caused you to enter Hell?" 42 They will answer: We were not of those who prayed 43 nor did we feed the destitute. 44 We plunged in with the plungers 45 And rejected the Day of Judgement as a lie 46 Till death overtook us. 47 The mediation of no mediators will avail them then. 48 If such will be the Day of Judgment, what is the matter with them? Why do they run away from guidance, 49 As if they were affrighted asses, 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Indeed, each one of them desires to be given unrolled scrolls. 52 No indeed; but they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 but this is truly a reminder. 54 So whoever pleases may mind it. 55 But none will remember, unless Allah wills, He is the Owner of fear, the Owner of forgiveness. 56
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
