Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection; 1 And I swear by the reproaching soul [to the certainty of resurrection]. 2 What, does the human think We shall never gather his bones? 3 Nay, We are able to put together in perfect order the very tips of his fingers. 4 But man wishes to do wrong (even) in the time in front of him. 5 'When will the Day of Resurrection be' he asks, 6 But [on that Day], when mortal sight is confounded, 7 and the moon is eclipsed, 8 And the sun and the moon shall be joined. 9 That day man will say: "Where can I find escape?" 10 No! There is no refuge. 11 Unto thy Lord is the recourse that day. 12 On that Day man will be informed of what he sent forward (of his evil or good deeds), and what he left behind (of his good or evil traditions). 13 In fact, people are well-aware of their own soul 14 even though he may veil himself in excuses. 15 (Muhammad), do not move your tongue too quickly to recite the Quran. 16 Surely its collection and recitation are Our responsibility. 17 So, when We recite it, follow thou its recitation. 18 and then, behold, it will be for Us to make its meaning clear. 19 Nay, (ye men!) but ye love the fleeting life, 20 And leave the Hereafter. 21 On that Day there shall be radiant faces, 22 looking up to their Sustainer; 23 And countenances on that Day shall be scowling. 24 Imagining that there will befall them a waiste-breaking calomity. 25 No indeed; when it reaches the clavicles 26 And it is said, "Who will cure [him]?" 27 (the angels of mercy or the angels of wrath,)" then, he will realize that it is time to leave this world. 28 and when leg is intertwined with leg, 29 That Day the Drive will be (all) to thy Lord! 30
