Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 storming tempestuously 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 And those that distinguish distinctly, 4 And those that bring down the Reminder 5 As justification or warning, 6 Indeed, what you are promised is to occur. 7 So when the lights of the stars are put out. 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 When the mountains are scattered (to the winds) as dust; 10 And when the apostles are collected at the appointed time, 11 To which Day has this task been deferred? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 What do you know what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients? 16 So shall We make later (generations) follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with the guilty. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 And We placed it in a firm lodging 21 Till a limit known? 22 We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 For the living and the dead, 26 And have placed therein firm, and tall mountains; and have given you to drink sweet water? 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 Proceed to that which you denied. 29 "Depart you to a shadow (of Hell-fire smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 which neither provides (cooling) shade nor protection against the flames; 31 Verily! It (Hell) throws sparks (huge) as Al-Qasr [a fort or a Qasr (huge log of wood)], 32 So like golden camels." 33 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 34 This is a Day whereon they shall not be able to speak. 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 37 That will be the Day of Reckoning. Gathered will be (you) and the earlier (generations). 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
