Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the loosed ones successively 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force! 2 And scatter (things) far and wide; 3 And those that distinguish distinctly, 4 And those winds that bring down the remembrance. 5 To excuse or to warn, 6 Indeed what you are promised, will surely befall. 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 when heaven shall be split 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 and the appointed time to bring the Messengers together arrives, (then shall the promised event come to pass). 11 If one asks, "To which day have such calamitous events been postponed?" 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 And what will convey unto thee what the Day of Decision is! - 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier peoples? 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 In this wise We do with the culprits. 18 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 which We then placed in a secure repository 21 for an appointed term? 22 Then We facilitated (your birth). How well do We calculate! 23 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected the revelations of God! 24 Did We not make the earth a storehouse? 25 for the living and for the dead? 26 And We placed high mountains as anchors in it and gave you sweet water to drink. 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected. 29 "Depart you to a shadow (of Hell-fire smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame. 31 it throws spits as (high as a huge) palace, 32 sparks like to golden herds. 33 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 34 On that Day they will be speechless, 35 And permission shall not be given to them so that they should offer excuses. 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 40
