Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 storming tempestuously 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 And by the Verses (of the Quran) that separate the right from the wrong. 4 And those [angels] who deliver a message 5 To complete the argument or to warn. 6 Most surely what you are threatened with must come to pass. 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 And when the heaven is opened 9 and when the mountains crumble into dust 10 And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- 11 for what Day has this been appointed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 Woe on that day unto the beliers 15 Did We not destroy the ancients, 16 We will now cause the later ones to follow them: 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 19 Did We not create you of a mean water, 20 Which We laid up in a safe abode 21 until an appointed time? 22 We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! 23 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected the revelations of God! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle? 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 And have placed therein firm, and tall mountains; and have given you to drink sweet water? 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 “Move towards the shadow of the smoke having three branches.” 30 that will offer no [cooling] shade and will be of no avail against the flame 31 "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, 32 So like golden camels." 33 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not speak (during some part of it), 35 neither be given leave, and excuse themselves. 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 Such is the Day of Decision. We will gather you with the ancients. 38 So if you have a plan, then plan against Me. 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
