Al-Taareq

The Comet (Al-Taareq)

17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

By the heaven and the night-comer 1 Do you know what al-tariq is? 2 - The piercing Star! 3 There is not a soul that does not have a guardian over it. 4 Let man consider what he was made of: 5 He is created from a gushing fluid 6 That issueth from between the loins and the breast-bones. 7 He certainly has the power to bring him back to life. 8 The Day when all the secrets (deeds, prayers, fasting, etc.) will be examined (as to their truth). 9 He will have no strength or helper. 10 Consider the heavens, ever-revolving, 11 And the earth splitting (with plants); 12 Lo! this (Qur'an) is a conclusive word, 13 and is not to be taken lightly. 14 They are cunningly devising, 15 But I am planning a plan. 16 So respite the unbelievers; delay with them awhile. 17

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
