Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 And those raging swiftly; 2 and by the scatterers scattering (rain) 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 excusing or warning, 6 BEHOLD, all that you are told to expect will surely come to pass. 7 So when the lights of the stars are put out. 8 And when the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 And when the mountains are blown away; 10 and when the Messengers' time is set, 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 For the Day of Judgement. 13 Would that you knew what the Day of Decision is! 14 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)? 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 Thus deal We ever with the guilty. 18 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 Then We lodged you in a secure place (the womb) 21 For a known calculated term. 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth a container 25 for the living and the dead, 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 Proceed to that which you denied. 29 Depart into the shadow of three masses, 30 that will offer no [cooling] shade and will be of no avail against the flame 31 It will throw out sparks as logs of wood 32 As if they were Jimalatun Sufr (yellow camels or bundles of ropes)." 33 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 37 Such is the Day of Decision. We will gather you with the ancients. 38 If you have any plans, use them. 39 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 40
