The News (Al-Naba')
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Heights (Al-Ma'aarej) before The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ About what are they asking one another? 1 They quarrel about the great news 2 on which they [so utterly] disagree. 3 (What they think is certainly despicable!). They will soon come to know (the reality). 4 They will indeed come to know soon. 5 Have We not made the earth as a cradle 6 and the mountains as pegs? 7 And (have We not) created you in pairs, 8 And have made your sleep as a thing for rest. 9 and made the night [its] cloak 10 And We made the day for seeking livelihood. 11 And built seven strong roofs above you. 12 And have appointed a dazzling lamp, 13 And have sent down from the rainy clouds abundant water. 14 That We may produce therewith corn and vegetables, 15 And gardens of thick growth. 16 Surely the day of decision is (a day) appointed: 17 The Day the Horn is blown and you will come forth in multitudes 18 And the heaven is opened and will become gateways 19 and when the mountains are made to vanish as if they had been a mirage. 20 Indeed, Gehenna (Hell) has become an ambush, 21 It will be a place of return 22 In which they will remain for ages [unending]. 23 and where they will taste neither coolness nor any drink 24 Except scalding water and [foul] purulence - 25 a befitting recompense for their deeds. 26 For lo! they looked not for a reckoning; 27 They called Our revelations false with strong denial. 28 and everything We have numbered in a Book. 29 So taste you (the results of your evil actions); no increase shall We give you, except in torment. 30

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
