The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By those (angels) who pull out (the souls of the disbelievers and the wicked) with great violence; 1 By the angels who release with gentle release. 2 And [by] those who glide [as if] swimming 3 and vie with the others (in carrying out their Lord's behests); 4 Then those who regulate the affair. 5 On the Day the blast [of the Horn] will convulse [creation], 6 And the following event will come after it. 7 On that Day some hearts shall tremble (with fright), 8 Their eyes cast down. 9 The disbelievers say, “Will we really return to our former state?” 10 Even if we should be decayed bones? 11 [And] they add, "That, then, would be a return with loss!" 12 But it will be only a single blow, 13 and lo, they will all be in the open plain. 14 Have you received the story of Moses? 15 Recall what time his Lord called unto him in the holy vale of Tuwa. 16 Go to Firon, surely he has become inordinate. 17 “Tell him ‘Do you have the inclination to become pure?’ 18 I shall guide you to your Lord so that you may perhaps have fear of Him". 19 And thereupon he [went to Pharaoh and] made him aware of the great wonder [of God's grace]. 20 but the Pharaoh rejected it and disobeyed (Moses). 21 Then he quickly turned his back. 22 then he mustered 23 “I am the supreme lord of you all.” 24 So Allah seized him with the punishment of the Everlasting Life, and of this world. 25 Surely, in this there is a lesson for he that fears! 26
