The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By those (angels) that pluck out the soul from depths, 1 by the drawers (the angels of death), gently drawing (the souls of the believers), 2 and float [through space] with floating serene, 3 and the outstrippers (angels), outstripping, 4 by those that direct an affair! 5 On the Day (when the first blowing of the Trumpet is blown), the earth and the mountains will shake violently (and everybody will die), 6 Followed by the second blast, 7 Hearts that Day will be in agitation; 8 [and] their eyes downcast... 9 They say: "Shall we indeed be returned to (our) former state of life? 10 even after we are fragmented bones' 11 They say, "That, then, would be a losing return." 12 But it will be only a single blow, 13 And suddenly they will be [alert] upon the earth's surface. 14 Have you heard the story of Moses? 15 His Lord called out to him by the sacred valley of Tuwa: 16 saying 'Go to Pharaoh, he has become exceedingly insolent, 17 And say to him, "Would you like to reform yourself? 18 I shall guide you to your Lord so that you may perhaps have fear of Him". 19 Moses showed him the great sign, 20 But he denied and disobeyed, 21 Then he turned away in a hurry, 22 then, he gathered, proclaimed, 23 Saying: "I am alone your lord, the highest of them all." 24 you pay attention 25 Indeed in this is a lesson for one who fears. 26
