He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ (The Prophet (Peace be upon him)) frowned and turned away, 1 Because the blind man came unto him. 2 And what would make you know that he would purify himself, 3 Or that he might receive admonition, and the teaching might profit him? 4 Yet you pay attention 5 you attend to him, 6 although thou art not accountable for his failure to attain to purity; 7 And as to him who comes to you striving hard, 8 And he feareth 9 So you leave him, and are engrossed elsewhere! 10 Not this way this is the advice. 11 So let him who pleases mind it. 12 (It is) in Books held (greatly) in honour, 13 Exalted and purified, 14 by the hands of scribes 15 noble and virtuous scribes. 16 Perish man! how ungrateful he is! 17 From what did He create him? 18 From a single sperm He created, then proportioned him, 19 Then maketh the way easy for him, 20 then makes him to die, and buries him, 21 Then when He pleases, He will bring him back to life. 22 Not one he has not yet completed what he was commanded. 23 Let man, then, consider [the sources of] his food: 24 We let the rain pour down in torrents 25 then We split the earth in fissures 26 Then We cause therein the grain to grow, 27 and vines and edible plants, 28 And olives and date-palms, 29 And enclosed Gardens, dense with lofty trees, 30 And fruits and fodder,- 31 as provision for you and for your cattle to enjoy. 32 But when the deafening blast is sounded, 33 The day on which a man shall fly from his brother, 34 his mother and his father, 35 his wife and his sons: 36 On that day, each one has just one issue, which is enough for him. 37 [Some] faces, that Day, will be bright - 38 and be cheerful and joyous. 39 And some faces will on that Day with dust be covered, 40 and veiled with darkness. 41 These are they who are unbelievers, the wicked. 42
Almighty God's Truth.

Notes and Instructions
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
