The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
When the sun Kuwwirat (wound round and lost its light and is overthrown). 1 When the stars fall, losing their lustre; 2 when the mountains shall be set in motion, 3 And when the camels are left untended, 4 And when the wild beasts are herded together, 5 when the seas are set boiling, 6 when the souls are divided into different classes, 7 And when the female infant buried alive is asked 8 For what sin she was killed 9 the records of deeds are made public, 10 The curtain drawn back from the skies, 11 hell is made to blaze, 12 and Paradise is brought near, 13 (Then) shall each soul know what it has put forward. 14 No indeed; I swear by the alternating stars 15 that hide, 16 And by the night as it departs; 17 And by oath of the morning when it takes birth. 18 it is indeed the word of an Honorable Messenger, 19 Owner of strength, of established dignity with the Lord of the Throne. 20 With authority there, (and) faithful to his trust. 21 Your Companion is not mad, 22 He certainly saw him (Gabriel) high up on the horizon in his original form 23 Neither doth he withhold grudgingly a knowledge of the Unseen. 24 And it (the Quran) is not the word of the outcast Shaitan (Satan). 25 Whither then go ye? 26 It is nothing but Good Counsel for everyone in the world, 27 (With profit) to whoever among you wills to go straight: 28 And you will not, unless (it be) that Allah wills, the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 29
