The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
When the sun shall be darkened, 1 The stars turn dim and scatter, 2 when the mountains shall be set in motion, 3 the young barren camels are abandoned, 4 The wild beasts stampede on the run, 5 When the oceans surge and swell, 6 And when the souls are paired. 7 and when the girl-child that was buried alive is made to ask 8 for what sin she was killed, 9 when the scrolls shall be unrolled, 10 And when the heaven is torn away. 11 When Hell is set ablaze, 12 and Paradise is brought near, 13 Then every soul shall know that which it hath presented. 14 So by oath of those that revolve. (The planets.) 15 Go straight, or hide; 16 And by oath of the night when it turns back. 17 And the breath of morning 18 Verily this is the word of a most honourable Messenger, 19 Owner of power, and high rank with (Allah) the Lord of the Throne, 20 obeyed, moreover trusty. 21 And (O people) your companion (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) is not a madman; 22 And without doubt he saw him in the clear horizon. 23 he is not grudging of the Unseen. 24 Nor is it the word of the cursed Shaitan, 25 So where are you going? 26 It is naught but a reminder for the nations, 27 (With profit) to whoever among you wills to go straight: 28 And ye will not, unless (it be) that Allah willeth, the Lord of Creation. 29
God the Almighty always says the truth.
