Shattering (Al-Infitaar)

19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

۞ When the heavens are rent asunder, 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 When the oceans begin to flow, 3 And when the graves are ransacked, 4 the soul shall know what it has done, the former and the latter. 5 O mankind, what has deceived you concerning your Lord, the Generous, 6 who created thee and shaped thee and wrought thee in symmetry 7 Into whatever form He pleased He constituted you. 8 No! But you deny the Recompense. 9 Yet over you there are watchers, 10 noble scribes, 11 They know whatever you do. 12 the virtuous will dwell in bliss, 13 whereas, behold, the wicked will indeed be in a blazing fire 14 They will enter it on the Day of Justice. 15 And they will not be able to keep away therefrom. 16 They will never be able to escape from it. Would that you knew what the Day of Judgment is! 17 Again would that you only knew how terrible it really is! 18 It is the Day when a soul will not possess for another soul [power to do] a thing; and the command, that Day, is [entirely] with Allah. 19

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
