Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the Sky is cleft asunder; 1 And when the stars fall, scattering, 2 When the seas are poured forth, 3 when the graves are overturned, 4 every soul will see the result of its deeds - those recorded before his death and those which will produce either virtue or evil after his death. 5 O man! What has seduced thee from thy Lord Most Beneficent?- 6 who created you, fashioned you and proportioned you, 7 in whatever composition He wanted. 8 By no means! Aye, ye belie the Requital. 9 Surely there are guardians over you, 10 Kind and honourable,- Writing down (your deeds): 11 Who know what you do. 12 Indeed the virtuous are in serenity. 13 The wicked certainly in Hell: 14 They shall enter it on the Day of Recompense 15 And they shall by no means be absent from it. 16 They will never be able to escape from it. Would that you knew what the Day of Judgment is! 17 Again, what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 18 It is the Day when no one shall have the power to do anything for another, and all command shall be Allah's. 19
