Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ WHEN THE SKY is cleft asunder, 1 and when the stars are scattered, 2 When the seas are poured forth, 3 and when the graves are laid open: 4 Each soul will know what it had sent ahead and what it had left behind. 5 O mankind, what has deceived you concerning your Lord, the Generous, 6 Who created you then formed your symmetry, then gave you right proportion, 7 In whatever Form He wills, does He put thee together. 8 Nay, but ye deny the Judgment. 9 But verily over you (are appointed angels) to protect you,- 10 noble, writers 11 who know of all that you do. 12 Lo! the righteous verily will be in delight. 13 And verily, the Fujjar (the wicked, disbelievers, sinners and evil-doers) will be in the blazing Fire (Hell), 14 [a fire] which they shall enter on Judgment Day, 15 and from it they shall never be absent. 16 What do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 Again, what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 18 It is the Day when no one shall have the power to do anything for another, and all command shall be Allah's. 19
