The Cheaters (Al-Mutaffifeen)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Woe to the defrauders, 1 those who, when they are to receive their due from [other] people, demand that it be given in full 2 but who, when they measure or weigh for others, give less than their due. 3 Do they not know that they are bound to be raised from the dead 4 For a tremendous Day - 5 The Day when (all) mankind will stand before the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)? 6 No! Indeed, the record of the wicked is in sijjeen. 7 And what do you know, how (wretched) the Sijjeen is! 8 (It is) a marked Book. 9 Woe, that Day, to those that deny- 10 those that give the lie to the Day of Recompense. 11 Which none denieth save each criminal transgressor, 12 When Our revelations are conveyed to him, he says, "Fables of the ancients!" 13 Nay! But on their hearts is the Ran (covering of sins and evil deeds) which they used to earn. 14 Therefore they will be screened off from their Lord that day, 15 They will suffer the heat of fire 16 Then shall it be said: This is what you gave the lie to. 17 No indeed! Verily, the deeds of the virtuous shall be in the record of the exalted ones. 18 And what will make you know what 'Illiyyun is? 19 It is a written book, 20 To which bear witness those Nearest (to Allah). 21 The righteous shall indeed be blissful, 22 On thrones, they shall gaze; 23 You will recognize in their faces the radiance of pleasure. 24 They are given to drink of a pure wine, sealed, 25 its seal is musk, for this let the competitors compete; 26 and its mixture is Tasneem, 27 A fountain whereof will drink those brought nigh. 28 The sinners had been laughing at the believers. 29 And when they passed by them, they would exchange derisive glances. 30 And when they went back to their people turned to make fun of them; 31 On seeing the believers, they would say, "These people have gone astray". 32 But they had not been sent as keepers over them! 33 Wherefore Today, those who believed at the infidels are laughing, 34 On adorned couches, observing. 35 Will not the Unbelievers have been paid back for what they did? 36
