The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the heavens with constellations, 1 And the promised day, 2 By one that witnesses, and the subject of the witness;- 3 Cursed were the companions of the trench 4 The people of the fuelled blazing fire. 5 When they sat by it, 6 and were witnessing what they did to the believers. 7 And what did they dislike from the Muslims, except that the Muslims accepted faith in Allah the Most Honourable, the Most Praiseworthy? 8 To Him only belongs the kingship of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is a Witness over all things. 9 Indeed, those who have tortured the believing men and believing women and then have not repented will have the punishment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the Burning Fire. 10 Verily, those who believe and do righteous good deeds, for them will be Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise). That is the great success. 11 Surely thy Lord's assault is terrible. 12 Surely it is He who originates, and brings again, 13 And He alone is truly-forgiving, all-embracing in His love, 14 Lord of the Throne, the All-glorious, 15 and the Most Effective in His decision. 16 Have you not heard about the stories of the armies 17 Of the Fir'awn and the Thamud? 18 And yet, they who are bent on denying the truth persist in giving it the lie: 19 And Allah, all unseen, surroundeth them. 20 Nay! it is a glorious Quran, 21 (Inscribed) in Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz (The Preserved Tablet)! 22
