The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
When the sun is overthrown, 1 And when the stars darken, 2 and when the mountains are made to vanish, 3 And when the camels are left untended, 4 the wild beasts are herded together, 5 and when the seas are set on fire, 6 And when the souls shall be joined with their bodies; 7 And when the female infant buried alive is asked 8 For what sin she was killed, 9 the records of deeds are made public, 10 And when the sky is torn away, 11 and when Hell is set ablaze, 12 and Paradise is brought near, 13 [then] each soul shall know what it has put forward. 14 But nay! I swear by the stars, 15 the runners, the sinkers, 16 and the night that falls, 17 and the morn as it softly breathes: 18 Verily, this is the Word (this Quran brought by) a most honourable messenger [Jibrael (Gabriel), from Allah to the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him)]. 19 Owner of power, and high rank with (Allah) the Lord of the Throne, 20 Obeyed and worthy there of trust. 21 Nor is your companion distracted. 22 he truly saw him on the clear horizon; 23 he is not grudging of the Unseen. 24 Nor is this the utterance of a devil worthy to be stoned. 25 So whither do you stray? 26 Verily this is no less than a Message to (all) the Worlds: 27 for whosoever of you would go straight, 28 but you shall not, unless Allah wills, the Lord of all the Worlds. 29
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
End of Surah: The Rolling (Al-Takweer). Sent down in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
