The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the sky with its constellations, 1 And the promised day, 2 And the bearer of witness and those against whom the witness is borne. 3 Woe to the makers of the pit (of fire), 4 Of fire fuel-fed, 5 They sat by it 6 And they witnessed (all) that they were doing against the Believers. 7 Against these they had no grudge except that they believed in Allah, the Most Mighty, the Most Praiseworthy, 8 to whom belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth. God is witness over all things. 9 Indeed those who troubled the Muslim men and Muslim women, and then did not repent – for them is the punishment of hell, and for them is the punishment of fire. 10 As for those who believed and acted righteously, theirs shall be Gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great triumph. 11 Verily the grip of thine Lord is severe. 12 Verily He! He it is who beginneth and repeateth it. 13 And He only is the Oft Forgiving, the Beloved of His bondmen. 14 Lord of the Throne, the Glorious, 15 The great doer of what He will. 16 Hath there come unto thee the story of the hosts 17 of Pharaoh and of Thamood? 18 And yet the Unbelievers (persist) in rejecting (the Truth)! 19 And Allah, all unseen, surroundeth them. 20 In fact it (what they deny) is the Noble Qur’an. 21 (Inscribed) in Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz (The Preserved Tablet)! 22
