The Comet (Al-Taareq)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the Sky and the Night-Visitant (therein);- 1 And have you understood what the nightly arriver is? 2 It is the piercing star. 3 No human soul but hath a guardian over it. 4 So let man consider of what he is created: 5 he has been created out of a seminal fluid 6 which comes out of the loins and ribs. 7 Most surely He is able to return him (to life). 8 on the Day when all secrets will be laid bare, 9 when he will be helpless, with no supporter. 10 By oath of the sky from which comes down the rain. 11 And the earth splitting (with plants); 12 surely it is a decisive word; 13 And no trifle. 14 They are cunningly devising, 15 but I shall bring all their scheming to nought. 16 So respite the unbelievers; delay with them awhile. 17
