The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By heaven and the night-star! 1 and what could make you know what it is that comes in the night? 2 (It is) the piercing star. 3 That over each soul there is a guardian. 4 LET MAN, then, observe out of what he has been created: 5 He is created from a water dripping, 6 Proceeding from between the back-bone and the ribs, 7 Now, verily, He [who thus creates man in the first instance] is well able to bring him back [to life] 8 A day when the secrets will be examined. 9 and he shall have no strength, no helper. 10 By the heavens, ever-revolving, 11 and by the earth ever bursting with verdure, 12 Verily! This (the Quran) is the Word that separates (the truth from falsehood, and commands strict legal laws for mankind to cut the roots of evil). 13 It is not a thing for amusement. 14 As for them, they are but plotting a scheme, 15 And I secretly plan. 16 So respite the unbelievers; delay with them awhile. 17
God the Almighty always says the truth.
