The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the sky and the night comer - 1 And have you understood what the nightly arriver is? 2 It is the piercing star - 3 There is no soul but has a protector over it. 4 LET MAN, then, observe out of what he has been created: 5 He is created from a gushing fluid 6 issuing between the loins and the breast-bones. 7 Lo! He verily is Able to return him (unto life) 8 on the Day when consciences are examined, 9 Then he shall have no power nor any helper. 10 By the sky which returns [rain] 11 by earth splitting with verdure, 12 Lo! this (Qur'an) is a conclusive word, 13 and is no idle tale. 14 Surely they will make a scheme, 15 but I shall bring all their scheming to nought. 16 Let, then, the deniers of the truth have their will: let them have their will for a little while. 17
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
