The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Exalt the Name of your Lord, the Highest, 1 who has created and shaped, 2 who determines the nature [of all that exists], and guided it accordingly; 3 The One Who produced pasture. 4 then made it dry dark, flaky stubble, 5 We shall make thee read (O Muhammad) so that thou shalt not forget 6 save what God wills; surely He knows what is spoken aloud and what is hidden. 7 We shall ease you to follow the way of Ease. 8 Remind, if the reminder can be of benefit. 9 The reminder will be received by him who fears (Allah), 10 But it will be avoided by those most unfortunate ones, 11 Who shall enter the great fire; 12 Wherein he will neither die (to be in rest) nor live (a good living). 13 To happiness [in the life to come] will indeed attain he who attains to purity [in this world,] 14 And who remembereth the name of his Lord, and then prayeth. 15 But you prefer the life of this world, 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Verily this is in Writs ancient 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
