The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the night as it envelops; 1 By the Day as it appears in glory; 2 Consider the creation of the male and the female! 3 Indeed your efforts differ. 4 As for him who gives and is godfearing 5 and affirmed the Truth of goodness: 6 We shall surely ease him to the Path of Easing; 7 But as for him who hoardeth and deemeth himself independent, 8 and cries lies to the reward most fair, 9 We will indeed make smooth for him the path to Misery; 10 When he falls (into Hell), his wealth will not help him. 11 Surely, it is for Us to provide guidance -- 12 And verily unto Us (belong) the End and the Beginning. 13 So, I warn you of the blazing Fire. 14 None shall enter it but the most unhappy, 15 who have rejected the (Truth) and have turned away from it. 16 He will be far away from the most pious. (The first Caliph S. Abu Bakr Siddiq) 17 Who giveth his wealth that he may grow (in goodness). 18 and confers no favour on any man for recompense, 19 except the pleasure of their Lord, the Most High 20 He will surely be well-pleased (with him). 21
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
