Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

By the Glorious Morning Light, 1 and the night when it grows still and dark. 2 Your Lord has not forsaken you, nor has He become displeased, 3 And verily the Hereafter will be better for thee than the present. 4 Verily your Lord will soon give you so amply that you will be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan, and shelter thee? 6 And He found thee wandering, and He gave thee guidance. 7 And find you in want and make you to be free from want? 8 Therefor the orphan oppress not, 9 And do not drive the beggar away, 10 And abundantly proclaim the favours of your Lord. 11
