The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
I CALL TO witness the early hours of morning, 1 and by the night when it covers the world with peace: 2 your Lord has not forsaken you, nor is He displeased with you, 3 And surely what comes after is better for you than that which has gone before. 4 And soon will thy Guardian-Lord give thee (that wherewith) thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you as an orphan and give you shelter? 6 And He found thee wandering, so He guided thee, 7 Did He not find thee needy, and suffice thee? 8 Wherefore as to the orphan, be thou not unto him overbearing. 9 and him that seeks [thy] help shalt thou never chide, 10 But tell of the favors of your Lord! 11
