The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the midmorning, 1 And the night when dark and still, 2 (O Prophet), your Lord has neither forsaken you, nor is He displeased. 3 And verily the latter portion will be better for thee than the former, 4 And indeed your Lord will soon give you so much that you will be pleased. (Allah seeks to please the Holy Prophet – peace and blessings be upon him.) 5 Did He not find you an orphan and take care of you? 6 And He found thee wandering, and He gave thee guidance. 7 Did He not find thee needy, and suffice thee? 8 Therefor the orphan oppress not, 9 and chide not him who asks, 10 and as for thy Lord's blessing, declare it. 11
God the Almighty always says the truth.
