The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca. First revelation of the Quran before The Pen (Al-Qalam)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Recite in the name of your Lord Who created, 1 Hath created man from a clot! 2 Read - for thy Sustainer is the Most Bountiful One 3 who taught by the pen, 4 Taught man what he did not know. 5 Indeed, surely the human is very insolent 6 because he thinks himself self-sufficient: 7 Lo! unto thy Lord is the return. 8 Seest thou one who forbids- 9 a servant when he prays -- 10 Bethinkest thou, if he is himself guided, 11 or enjoins true piety? 12 Have you thought that if he denies and turns away, 13 does he not know that Allah sees? 14 Nay, if he desist not, We shall most surely drag him down upon his forehead 15 The lying, sinful forelock - 16 So let him summon his helpmates; 17 We, will call the Zabania (the harsh angels of Hell). 18 Nay, Obey not thou him. But prostrate thyself, and draw near (unto Allah). ۩ 19
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

Notes and Instructions
توجد تمارين تحفيظ للوضعين العربي الأصلي والعربي المخطوط بأحرف إنجليزية فقط. ولا تحتوي الترجمة الإنجليزية على تمارين حفظ.
There are memorization exercises for the original Arabic and English transliterated Arabic modes only. The English translation mode has no memorization exercises.
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
