The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
READ in the name of thy Sustainer, who has created 1 Created man, out of a (mere) clot of congealed blood: 2 Proclaim! And thy Lord is Most Bountiful,- 3 who taught by the Pen, 4 taught man what he did not know. 5 No indeed; surely Man waxes insolent, 6 Because he sees himself free from want. 7 Surely your returning is to your Lord. 8 What is your opinion – regarding him who forbids – 9 A slave (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) when he prays? 10 Did you consider: what if he is on the Right Way, 11 and enjoins piety? 12 Hast thou considered whether he may [not] be giving the lie to the truth and turning his back [upon it]? 13 Knows he not that Allah does see (what he does)? 14 Nay! If he (Abu Jahl) ceases not, We will catch him by the forelock, 15 By the lying, the sinful forelock. 16 Then, let him call (for help) to his council (of comrades): 17 We will call the angels of Hell. 18 (Muhammad), never yield to him! Prostrate yourself and try to come closer to God. ۩ 19
Almighty God's Truth.
