Proof (Al-Bayyinah)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
The deniers of truth from among the People of the Book and the polytheists would not desist from disbelief until they received clear evidence -- 1 An Apostle from God, reading out hallowed pages 2 Containing correct scriptures. 3 Nor did the People of the Book(s) get divided until after the clear proof came to them. 4 And withal, they were not enjoined aught but that they should worship God, sincere in their faith in Him alone, turning away from all that is false; and that they should be constant in prayer; and that they should spend in charity: for this is a moral law endowed with ever-true soundness and clarity. 5 Those who disbelieved – be they from among the People of the Book or among those who associated others with Allah in His Divinity– shall be in the Fire, and will abide in it. They are the worst of creatures. 6 Verily, those who believe [in the Oneness of Allah, and in His Messenger Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) including all obligations ordered by Islam] and do righteous good deeds, they are the best of creatures. 7 Their reward is with Allah: Gardens of Eternity, beneath which rivers flow; they will dwell therein for ever; Allah well pleased with them, and they with Him: all this for such as fear their Lord and Cherisher. 8
