No! By the moon 32 By the receding night 33 And by the Dawn as it shineth forth,- 34 Verily it is one of the greatest woes. 35 Warn the men. 36 To any of you that chooses to press forward, or to follow behind;- 37 Each soul is held in pledge for what it earns, 38 except the people of the right hand 39 (They will be) in Gardens (of Delight): they will question each other, 40 And (ask) of the Sinners: 41 "what led you into hell?" 42 They will answer: We were not of those who prayed 43 and neither did we feed the needy; 44 and we were wont to indulge in sinning together with all [the others] who indulged in it; 45 and the Day of Judgment we were wont to call a lie 46 "Until there came to us (the Hour) that is certain." 47 So the intercession of intercessors shall not avail them. 48 So what is the matter with them that they turn away from the advice? 49 like frightened donkeys 50 Fleeing from a hunter, or a lion, or a beast of prey. 51 No indeed; each one of them desires that open letters be sent to each of them. 52 Nay! but they do not fear the hereafter. 53 Nay, verily, this (Quran) is an admonition, 54 So, whoever wills may benefit from it. 55 And they will not mind unless Allah please. He is worthy to be feared and worthy to forgive. 56
