Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Oh, the chargers that run panting, 1 striking sparks of fire with their hooves, 2 rushing to assault at morn, 3 And raise the dust in clouds the while, 4 And cleaving their way therein into the host, 5 Verily man is unto his Lord ungrateful. 6 And to that fact he bears witness (by his deeds); 7 And lo! in the love of wealth he is violent. 8 ۞ But does he not know that when the contents of the graves are scattered 9 And that which is (locked up) in (human) breasts is made manifest- 10 their Lord will examine his deeds? 11
God the Almighty always says the truth.
