The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Quraish (Quraish) before Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
The terrible calamity! 1 What is the striking (Hour)? 2 And what could make thee conceive what that sudden calamity will be? 3 The day that men shall be like scattered moths, 4 and the mount-ains like tufts of carded wool. 5 So for one whose scales prove heavy, 6 He will live a pleasant life. 7 But as for him whose balance (of good deeds) will be light, 8 Will have the Abyss for abode. 9 And what will make you know what it is? 10 It is the scorching fire. 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
