The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Quraish (Quraish) before Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
OH, the sudden calamity! 1 What is the event that terrifies the hearts? 2 Would that you knew what the crash is! 3 It is the Day when people will be like moths, dispersed, 4 and the mountains shall be like plucked wool-tufts. 5 Then, he whose balance (of good deeds) will be (found) heavy, 6 He shall be in a life well-pleasing. 7 And as for him whose measure of good deeds is light, 8 He is in the lap of one that abases. 9 And what shall teach thee what is the Pit? 10 A flaming fire! 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
