The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Quraish (Quraish) before Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
The Calamity! 1 How awesome the sudden calamity! 2 And what will make you know what the striking (Hour) is? 3 A day wherein mankind will be as thickly-scattered moths 4 and the mountains like tufts of carded wool. 5 Then he whose deeds weigh heavy in the Scale 6 shall have a blissful life; 7 but those whose good deeds will be lighter (on the scale). 8 He will have his home in Hawiyah (pit, i.e. Hell). 9 What will convey to you what this is like? 10 (It is) a hot blazing Fire! 11
