Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

The craving for excess wealth kept you people neglectful. 1 Until you visit the graveyards. 2 Nay, but ye will come to know! 3 Nay! Nay! you shall soon know. 4 Lo! would that ye knew now with the surety of knowledge! 5 For ye will behold hell-fire. 6 Then you shall most certainly see it with the eye of certainty; 7 Then, on that day, you will surely be questioned regarding the favours. 8

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
