Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

The emulous desire of abundance engrosseth you, 1 Till you reach the grave. 2 Lo! presently ye shall know. 3 Nay! Nay! you shall soon know. 4 Nay, if you could but understand [it] with an understanding [born] of certainty, 5 You should most certainly have seen the hell; 6 Then you will see it with the eye of certainty. 7 Then, on that Day, you will be called to account for all the bounties you enjoyed. 8

God the Almighty always says the truth.
