Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Greed for more and more distracted you [from God] 1 Until ye come to the graves. 2 But you will come to know soon; -- 3 And once again: Nay, in time you will come to understand! 4 Nay, if you could but understand [it] with an understanding [born] of certainty, 5 you shall surely see Hell; 6 and you will see it with your own eyes. 7 Then, on that Day, you will be called to account for all the bounties you enjoyed. 8

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
