Al-Hummazah

The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Woe to every slanderer and backbiter 1 Who amasses wealth and hordes it. 2 He thinketh that his wealth will render him immortal. 3 Nay! Verily, he will be thrown into the crushing Fire. 4 And what shall make thee know that which the Crushing Fire is? 5 It is a Fire kindled by God. 6 Reaching right into the hearts of men, 7 It shall be made into a vault over them, 8 In extended columns. 9

God the Almighty always says the truth.
