The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

Woe to every slanderer, defamer, 1 Who amasses wealth and considers it a provision (against mishap); 2 thinking that his property will make him live forever. 3 Nay, but verily he will be flung to the Consuming One. 4 What shall let you know what the Crusher is? 5 Fire of Allah, Kindled, 6 The which doth mount (Right) to the Hearts: 7 covered down upon them, 8 In extended columns. 9

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
