The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Woe to every scorner and mocker 1 who amasses wealth and counts it, 2 thinking that his property will make him live forever. 3 Nay! he shall most certainly be hurled into the crushing disaster, 4 and what shall teach thee what is the Crusher; 5 It is the fire of Allah, [eternally] fueled, 6 Which leapeth up over the hearts (of men). 7 Lo! it is closed in on them 8 in columns outstretched. 9

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
