Believers! Do not swallow interest, doubled and redoubled, and be mindful of Allah so that you may attain true success. 130 and beware of the fire which awaits those who deny the truth! 131 And obey Allah and the Messenger (Muhammad SAW) that you may obtain mercy. 132 ۞ And rush towards forgiveness from your Lord, and towards a Paradise that can hold all the heavens and the earth in its width – prepared for the pious. 133 who spend in prosperity and in adversity, for those who curb their anger and those who forgive people. And Allah loves the charitable 134 and who, when they have committed a shameful deed or have [otherwise] sinned against themselves, remember God and pray that their sins be forgiven - for who but God could forgive sins? - and do not knowingly persist in doing whatever [wrong] they may have done. 135 their recompense is forgiveness from their Lord, and Gardens with rivers flowing through them, where they will abide forever. How excellent will be the reward of those who do good works. 136 Many were the Ways of Life that have passed away before you: travel through the earth, and see what was the end of those who rejected Truth. 137 this [should be] a clear lesson unto all men, and a guidance and an admonition unto the God-conscious. 138 Do not, then, either lose heart or grieve: for you shall surely gain the upper hand if you are true men of faith. 139 If you get hurt, certainly others have also experienced injuries. We have made people pass through the different turns of history so that God would know the true believers, have some of you bear witness to the people's deeds, {God does not love the unjust} 140 and that God might render pure of all dross those who have attained to faith, and bring to nought those who deny the truth. 141 Do you think that you will enter the garden while Allah has not yet known those who strive hard from among you, and (He has not) known the patient. 142 Ye did indeed wish for death before ye met him: Now ye have seen him with your own eyes, (And ye flinch!) 143
