Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after Hoarding (Al-Takaathur) before The Disbelievers (Al-Kaaferoon)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

HAST THOU ever considered [the kind of man] who gives the lie to all moral law? 1 That is he who repulses the orphan 2 and never encourages the feeding of the destitute. 3 Woe, then, to those who pray, 4 Who delay their Salat (prayer) from their stated fixed times, 5 Those who (want but) to be seen (of men), 6 But refuse (to supply) (even) neighbourly needs. 7

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
