Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

May both the hands of Abu Lahab be destroyed – and they are destroyed! 1 His wealth and gains will not exempt him. 2 He shall soon burn in fire that flames, 3 And his wife, the wood-carrier, 4 shall have a rope of palmfiber around her neck! 5

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
