Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ WHEN THE SKY is cleft asunder, 1 the stars are dispersed, 2 When the oceans begin to flow, 3 And when the [contents of] graves are scattered, 4 then a soul shall know its works, the former and the latter. 5 O man! What has made you careless concerning your Lord, the Most Generous? 6 The One Who created you, then moulded you, then made you proper? 7 in whatever composition He wanted. 8 Nay, [O men,] but you [are lured away from God whenever you are tempted to] give the lie to [God's] Judgment! 9 but you should know that there are angelic guards 10 The honourable recorders. 11 who know of all that you do. 12 Verily the pious shall be in Delight. 13 whereas the wicked will be in Hell; 14 which they shall enter on the Day of Judgement, 15 and from which they will find no escape. 16 And what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 17 Then, what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 18 The day on which no soul will have the authority over any other soul; and on that day, the entire command belongs to Allah. 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
