To whosoever blinds himself from the Remembrance of the Merciful, We shall assign him a satan so he is his companion, 36 and these satans hinder them from the Right Path, while he still reckons himself to be rightly-guided. 37 till, when he comes to Us, he says, 'Would there had been between me and thee the distance of the two Easts!' An evil comrade! 38 And it profiteth you not this day, because ye did wrong, that ye will be sharers in the doom. 39 Can you [Prophet] make the deaf hear? Or guide either the blind or those who are in manifest error? 40 And even if We take you (O Muhammad SAW) away, We shall indeed take vengeance on them. 41 Or (if) We show you that wherewith We threaten them, then verily, We have perfect command over them. 42 So hold thou fast to the Revelation sent down to thee; verily thou art on a Straight Way. 43 It is indeed a Reminder to you and to your nation, and without doubt you shall be questioned. 44 Inquire of apostles We had sent before you if We appointed gods to be worshipped other than Ar-Rahman. 45
