The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Woe to every slanderer and backbiter. 1 Who pileth up wealth and layeth it by, 2 He thinks that his wealth will make him last forever! 3 By no means! He will be sure to be thrown into That which Breaks to Pieces, 4 And what have you understood what the Crushing One is! 5 It is a fierce fire created by God 6 the Fire that shall rise to the hearts (of criminals). 7 Verily it shall close upon them, 8 in towering columns. 9
